Biography

Out of the cold barren regions of Sweden comes Mandylon - a dark melodic rock act that exudes both despair and a limitless lust for life. Their gloomy mix of pop and rock is reminiscent of the gothic 80’s while they are currently positioned to make their own mark on modern rock. If desperation and loneliness had a bastard child - its name would be Mandylon.

On their debut album “A Good Excuse And A Yellow Sun” the band worked closely with producer Jens Bogren (Opeth, Katatonia, Paradise Lost) of Fascination Street Studios. Many reviews have spoken of lead singer Sven Holger Rosenvinge’s touching voice and androgyny combining with the haunting masterpieces and mood that Mandylon’s songs portray.

During 2008 Mandylon spent time performing in Scandinavia in support for the release of their debut album (2008-03-31). Every single instance of a show case, review or media attention was the direct result of a hard working band. They released their debut album without any promotion deal the old fashioned way, by rolling up their sleeves and doing the promoting themselves. Now, a year later the word Mandylon is on everyone's lips.
